BBL Corrective

Light That Listens to Your Skin

Your skin is as unique as your fingerprint, and BBL Corrective is designed to treat it that way. Unlike older IPL technology, which blasts broad light into the skin, BBL uses highly controlled wavelengths of light that can be customised to your exact concern whether that’s pigmentation, redness, acne bacteria, or overall skin ageing. Think of it like tuning a radio: each wavelength is set to target a different “channel” in your skin.

Here’s how BBL works

Pigmentation

Extra melanin (the pigment in your skin) can clump together and cause dark spots. BBL light is absorbed by these melanin clusters, gently heating and breaking them down into tiny fragments. Your body’s natural clean-up system then removes them, leaving skin clearer and brighter.

Redness & Rosacea

Redness happens when small surface blood vessels get overactive. BBL light is absorbed by hemoglobin (the molecule in blood), collapsing the unwanted vessels so the body can reabsorb them. The result: calmer, less reactive skin.

Acne

Acne bacteria release compounds called porphyrins. BBL light specifically targets these porphyrins, destroying the bacteria while also calming redness and reducing inflammation.

Inflammatory Skin(Eczema & Psoriasis)

These conditions are triggered by an overactive immune response, like a smoke alarm going off too easily. BBL light helps calm these pathways, reducing flare-ups and supporting a stronger skin barrier over time.

Sensitive Skin

Gentle BBL settings can reduce nerve hypersensitivity and strengthen the skin barrier, so skin reacts less dramatically to triggers like wind, products, or stress.

Dullness & Ageing

BBL light stimulates fibroblasts (the cells that make collagen and elastin), kick-starting your skin’s renewal cycle. Over time, this boosts smoothness, firmness, and glow.

Why It Works Better Than Old-School IPL

Traditional IPL is like a floodlight it throws out broad, unfocused light that often hits the wrong targets, causing unnecessary heat and irritation. BBL is more like a spotlight: precise, controlled, and filtered to only hit the molecules we want. This means better results, less downtime, and safer treatments for more skin types.

In short: BBL Corrective is your skin’s reset button a tailored spectrum of light that clears, calms, and reboots your skin so it can perform at its best.

BBL Corrective FAQs

Most people describe BBL as a quick, warm “snap” against the skin like a rubber band flick. It’s very tolerable, and we can adjust the settings for sensitive skin.

For best results, most people need 3–6 treatments, spaced about 4 – 6 weeks apart. After that, maintenance treatments 2–3 times a year help keep your skin clear, bright, and healthy.

Minimal. You might have slight redness for a few hours (like a mild sunburn). Pigmentation can darken temporarily before it flakes away usually within 5–7 days. Most clients return to normal activities straight after treatment.

BBL is highly customisable and can be safely used on many skin types. During your consultation, we’ll assess your skin tone and concerns to ensure the right settings.

Many people notice improvements in 2–4 weeks clearer skin, reduced redness, and an overall brighter tone. Results continue to build with each treatment.

BBL uses advanced filters and controlled light, meaning it targets pigment, redness, and acne bacteria more precisely than old-school IPL. This means better results, less irritation, and more personalised treatment.
